ADISA Mobile App: An application for the citizens
Are you obsessed with your mobile phone? Are you always Google-ing, Instagram-ing, Whatsapp-ing or taking selfies? Well, I do, as my friends also do. We spend most of our time surfing on the net with the mobile phones on our hands, solving each life issue online… Yes, seems crazy and overwhelming, but it is the fastest way possible to fix almost everything. Are we becoming lazy? Maybe…yes or maybe not! We, the ADISA lab team, while discussing about laziness at our little, fresh and innovative meeting after being part on a public administration reform event, were deeply concerned about the nightmare of our young life: the queue! Yes, that long line before you, when you want to apply for a public service. It is excessively boring to wait precious minutes and hours (seems terrible but it is true) just to get to the front desk and apply for those five little minutes. Well, this is not the worst. What about waiting and not applying because you do not have the list of the documents for that service? This is a life consuming habit! Yes, that is why we decided to change it! First, let us take a selfie of our reunion!
Bingo! One of us said that he would prefer making everything by his IPhone, another one joined, and one, and two and that is it! The whole team got that lamp turned ON! We decided to work on our next project: ADISA Mobile App. Why an app for public services? Because it is so cool and fast, so time saving and complete! Our ADISA Mobile App: will bring the public service in your hand, provide citizens with information about the services given and offer the possibility to book a ticket for our service centres everywhere, every time. Once writing down our ideas and made them a project, we choose the perfect time to launch the competition and present it: the Innovation Week, because we could not launch such an innovative idea in another time. We organized a first informative session the 16th of March, and a second the 24th of March at the Innovation hub premises, in Tirana, Albania. The two events were of a great interest, many IT students, professors and developers wanted to join us on this project and win! After analysing each project idea proposed by the participants, a professional jury from ADISA selected three finalists, whom presented their projects on the event organized during the Innovation Week, the 15th of May 2017 at the premises of the International Culture Center “Arbnori” (Pyramid of Tirana).
The winner of the competition was Mr. Kleo Xhindoli, which received a check of ALL 500.000 to work on this application. He proposed an application of a very simple but user-friendly design, to give information for public services and give the possibility to book a ticket online. All our effort on this project are becoming a reality by this talented IT boy. We are so excited that today ADISA Mobile App is on its testing phase and look forward to have it in our pocket. Soon, we will have an innovative way on getting informed and reserving the ticket without suffering the queue. Our technological parents will love it!
