ADISA’s path to innovation
Have you ever decided that it’s time for a change? Or did you ever want to change something in your life, attitude or appearance? Did you just dive in blue waters or drift in the ocean? Well, at least you discovered a whole new world! Let me tell you about our experience facing a novelty! Yes, a novelty, because we are trying to change and get better, day by day, step by step, as Dante Alighieri would say “…ad astra!”. We, at ADISA started a new unknown road: we created an innovation lab! We got inspired to make something new to help us get better in our daily working routine and our results as well. Since we are leading the improvement of public services, we have tried different methods and channels to innovate public services in Albania. This year we created our innovation lab: ADISA lab!
ADISA lab started its journey to innovation with 9 experts of different areas: technology, law, finance, marketing and design. We met, discussed and elaborated new ideas and prepared our first prototype of ADISA Mobile Units. Then we were ready for the first conference attendance: “The 10th Annual Conference devoted to Innovation in Public Administration – Navigating in Times of Change”, organized by ReSPA and held from 12 to 13 October 2017 in Budva (Montenegro). The latter was a mix of good practices and successful stories from the representatives from the Western Balkan public administration institutions responsible for the implementation of administrative reforms. Our team leader Ms. Jonida Taraj, Director of the Development of Services Directorate at ADISA as well, represented ADISA lab by identifying the challenges in integrating innovation, shared our experience and methodologies to optimize the public administration in Albania. As highlighted in the ReSPA 2016 Annual Conference, the Western Balkan public administrations have embraced the reform process and have developed strategic plans in all identified areas of optimisation. That is why the great protagonist of the conference was Innovation through transformation and radical change. The first day of the ReSPA 2017 Annual Conference has set the stage for integrating innovation in public administration, where participants have shared their views on the major innovation challenges. During the second day, an open discussion has been organised in the ReSPA café on the structure, culture and personal change called for to promote innovation in public administration.
Our experience at the conference has been of a great inspiration. In ADISA lab we are ready to change the approach towards public services, making radical ones and this is just the beginning of our road to Innovation…
p.s. Stay tuned… 😉
